Quartz is manufactured and while it is mostly stone, is does have some polymer resin in it to make it more maintenance free as the years go on. With granite, you need to go to a wholesale retailer and search for the granite that best matches your kitchen color scheme. With quartz, you have much more flexibility in terms of colors.
